MarCom AWARD
Rex Heartburn Center’s physician-directed marketing materials – design and produced by Partin Design Group – recently received a Gold Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The MarCom awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communications programs and print, visual and audio materials. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, ad agencies, PR firms, design shops and freelancers. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world.
The marketing packet for Rex Healthcare physicians consists of a pocket folder featuring a medical illustration of acid reflux on the cover and graduated insert sheets including a patient questionnaire, treatment guidelines and an algorithm chart.
The piece was produced under the direction of Kerry Heckle of the Rex Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations Department and was printed by Walnut Circle Press.
GOLDEN TUSK AWARD
Congratulations to Alamance Regional Medical Center, winner of the Golden Tusk award from the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society for their 2007 Baby Fair. The event was designed to promote their new Perinatology Clinic and unveil new classes which would interest potential new patients. Partin Design Group worked with the hospital’s Public Relations department to craft a direct mail piece for the event which was mailed to more than 20,000 households. Congratulations Alamance Regional!
HEALTHY WOMAN WINS AWARD
Alamance Regional Medical Center was recently recognized by the Public Relations Society of America for their Healthy Woman program. Launched in January 2008, the free women’s membership program has grown to more than 700 members and has met their goal of promoting area physicians and hospital services. Partin Design Group created the program’s logo and produces monthly ads and bi-monthly newsletters for Healthy Woman.
WALNUT CIRCLE’S 2006
CHRISTMAS CARD
The 2006 Christmas card for Walnut Circle Press (Greensboro, NC) featured an acrylic painting of a nutcracker by Angela Partin, printed with their Metal FX technology. Metal FX works on the basis that cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks used in full-color printing are transparent. When these inks are printed on top of specially modified MFX silver ink, the silver shows through and creates the illusion of unlimited metallic colors.
